From the time I was a child, I always knew I wanted to help children. I was naturally drawn to caring for others, and by my early teens, I was babysitting whenever I could. I loved building relationships with children, helping them learn, and creating spaces where they felt safe, supported, and understood.
That passion led me into healthcare, where I began my career in behavioral health. Working in that field deepened my understanding of the importance of compassion, emotional support, and meeting people where they are. Throughout my 15-year career in healthcare, I gained experience across a variety of settings, including Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), where I developed a deeper appreciation for the systems, processes, and multidisciplinary teams that support children and families during some of life's most vulnerable moments.
Through those experiences, I saw how thoughtful collaboration, clear communication, and well-designed processes can shape a family's journey. While much of my work focused on improving healthcare operations behind the scenes, it reinforced my belief that every child and family deserves to feel informed, supported, and cared for. It also showed me that meaningful support extends far beyond clinical care.
Wanting to deepen my understanding of child development, I later earned my certification in Early Childhood Education Leadership. It strengthened my belief that children thrive when they are given the tools, language, and support to understand their emotions, build confidence, and navigate life's challenges.
Those experiences naturally led me to two paths that share the same mission. In 2025, I self-published my first children's book to help young readers navigate big feelings and life experiences with courage and confidence. I later completed my postpartum doula training through DONA International, allowing me to support families during one of life's biggest transitions—welcoming a new baby. Whether through stories or compassionate postpartum care, my goal is to help children and families feel supported from the very beginning.
Today, I provide postpartum doula support to families in Philadelphia and the surrounding area, while
continuing to write stories that help children feel seen, understood, and empowered. Whether I'm
supporting new parents during the postpartum period, reading to a classroom, or creating stories
that help children navigate big feelings and new experiences, my purpose remains the same as it
was when I was a little girl: to help children and families feel supported through every new
beginning.
